By purchasing, installing or using CleverCoder you accept these terms. If you disagree with any of them, do not use the program.

Who sells
The seller is CleverCat SpA, tax ID (RUT) 78.515.188-7, a company registered in Chile, which receives the payment in its PayPal account. The author and owner of the software is Camilo Brossard.
These terms are governed by Chilean law.

1. What you are buying

You are buying a monthly subscription to CleverCoder, not the program itself. The software, its source code and its name remain the property of its author.

The subscription costs USD 9.99 a month, paid with PayPal. Prices are expressed in US dollars.
It allows activation on two machines.
If you change machines, from the application itself you ask for an email with a single-use link that frees all the machines of your license. You can do this once every 30 days.

2. Free license

CleverCoder has a free license, with the same features as the paid one, for use that is not paid work or work for a company: personal use, study and non-profit organizations. It can be used on up to two of your own machines.

How to get it. From the program (“Use for free”) or at clevercoder.app/gratis, with your email: we send you a 6-digit PIN to confirm that it is yours. We do not ask for documents or check what you do for a living: your word is enough, and it has to be true. If it is not, the license does not apply to you and may be voided.
How long it lasts. 36 weeks. The program warns you two weeks before it expires and you renew it with one click.
Commercial use. The free license does not allow commercial use. Commercial use means using CleverCoder for work that is paid for or that is done for a company. If that is your case, you have to move to the paid license.
Pro codes. A Pro code can be redeemed only once, in the program, and gives 3 months of the paid license, with commercial use. Each code expires 36 months after it was created.
Without registering. The first time you open CleverCoder you can use it for 3 days without registering. After the 3 days you need a free license, a paid one or a Pro code. The 2-month trial no longer exists.

The paid license (section 1) is your permission for commercial use, and it is issued in your name: the email you bought with.

3. Automatic renewal and cancellation

The subscription renews automatically every month, until you cancel it.

You can cancel any time from the automatic payments of your PayPal account; CleverCoder cannot cancel it for you, except when we refund your first purchase (see Refunds). Once cancelled you are not charged again. Your license stays valid until the end of the period you already paid for, plus 7 days of margin.

If a charge fails, PayPal tries again and, if it is not resolved, suspends the subscription. The license stops renewing and expires on its date.

4. The licence is validated online

CleverCoder checks your license with our server when it opens and, while it stays open, every 24 hours, to know on how many machines it is used (at most 2). If you go offline it keeps working for up to 7 days from the last successful check. The first time on each machine needs a connection. After that it asks for a connection; meanwhile you can open your folders and export your work.

If you try to use the license on a third machine, the program offers to free your machines by email (once every 30 days). When you open CleverCoder with a connection, if your license is about to expire or has already expired, the program asks for the renewed one and saves it by itself. The server only renews it if your subscription is still paid: if you cancelled or stopped paying, it is not renewed.

The 3 days without registering, the beta version and the master key do not make this check. Neither does the free license: the program only connects to our server to request it, to renew it when it is about to expire, and to redeem a Pro code.

5. Permitted use

With a paid license you may use CleverCoder for personal or commercial work. With the free license, only for non-commercial use (see section 2). You may not:

Resell, rent or redistribute the program or your licence key.
Share your key with third parties beyond your two activations.
Circumvent the licensing mechanism, or decompile the program in order to do so.
Request the free license saying your use is not paid work or work for a company when it is, or use it for commercial work.

6. The most important clause: the program runs agents that touch your files

CleverCoder coordinates AI assistants that create, modify and delete files on your machine and run commands on your system. That is what the tool does; it is not a side effect.

AI models make mistakes. They can delete work, introduce bugs, or run something you did not expect. You are responsible for reviewing what they do before accepting it, and for keeping backups and version control of your work.

The program ships with permission controls and backup features precisely for this. Using them is your decision.

7. The service is provided as is

CleverCoder is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that it will run uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, total liability for any claim relating to the program will not exceed the amount you paid in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for data loss, lost work, lost profits or indirect damages.

9. Third-party tools and services

CleverCoder runs third-party tools that you install and configure yourself — for example AI assistants under your own account. Use of those tools is governed by their own terms, and their costs, limits and output are your responsibility. We are not liable for what those tools do or charge.

10. Payments

Payment is processed by PayPal, billed monthly while the subscription is active. PayPal receives and handles your payment details under its own terms; we do not see your card. Of what PayPal reports to us we keep only your email address, the plan, your subscription number, the status of the charges and the charge references (sale identifier and date of the last charge).

Refunds
You have 14 days from the first purchase of each plan to ask for a refund, by writing to support@clevercoder.app from the email you bought with. The refund is made through PayPal to the same payment method. When we refund your first purchase we also cancel your subscription, so you are not charged again.
Renewals are not refunded, except for a charge made by mistake (for example, duplicated or made after cancelling), which is refunded in full. If a payment is refunded to you and your subscription is no longer active, that license is voided: it keeps opening until it expires and does not renew again. Refunding a charge made by mistake, while the subscription is active, does not void the license.
PayPal may also resolve refunds or chargebacks on its own, under its own rules and regardless of this policy; if one happens and your subscription is no longer active, that license is voided as explained above.

11. End of the subscription

The subscription ends if you cancel it, if the charge fails and is not resolved, or if you breach these terms. It also ends, with the license voided, if a payment is refunded and your subscription is no longer active. When it ends, you no longer have the right to use the program (the license stops renewing and expires on its date). Any files and projects you created are yours and remain yours.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Changes apply from publication, with the header date updated, and do not apply retroactively to a charge already made.
